Child safety

1. Our commitment
Mate & Meet is only for people aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation: any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers a minor.
These standards are in addition to our Terms and conditions and apply across the app: video calls, chat, photos and profiles.
2. What is not allowed
- Sharing, requesting, producing or keeping child sexual abuse material in any form, including images created or altered with artificial intelligence.
- Contacting a minor for sexual purposes, or gaining their trust to do so (grooming).
- Sexualising minors in messages, photos, video calls or descriptions.
- Using Mate & Meet while under 18, or creating or using an account for a minor.
- Facilitating trafficking or any other form of exploitation of minors.
3. How we prevent it
- Creating an account requires a date of birth, and we do not accept anyone under 18.
- Every person has an account with a verified email, a name and a photo: there is no anonymous chat.
- Everyone can turn on a filter that hides offensive words in the messages they receive.
- You can report or block anyone from the video call, the chat or their profile.
- We review reports within 24 hours.
4. How to report
Use the report button in the video call, in the chat or on the person's profile. You can also write to us at mateandmeetoficial@gmail.com.
5. What we do when it happens
- We suspend the account as soon as we learn about it, and close it for good once it is confirmed.
- We keep the information the law requires for the investigation.
- We report it to the authorities: in Argentina, to the Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministerio Público Fiscal), and to NCMEC (the United States reporting centre, where our servers are).
- We cooperate with the authorities investigating the case.
